Vivi for Teachers

Vivi for Teachers is a web-based app where your students can join the teachers "virtual classroom" with a link and code. Once your students have joined the room, they can request to share their screen wirelessly. You grant them permission and, voila!  No more emailing you their slides to present and no more spending time finding the right cord or dongle to connect a student device to a classroom screen. Now your students can share their work from their seat easily and seamlessly. Your students will also have a built-in virtual whiteboard they can use to work out problems - alleviating the mess of physical whiteboards.

Once you have submitted the form, we’ll get you set up with Vivi for Teachers. You’ll receive an email from hello@vivi.io (tip: add it to your Safe Senders list to make sure you receive it!) with instructions for getting started.

Yes! Once you sign up, you’ll receive regular suggestions on how your peers are using Vivi in their classrooms, but here are a few ideas to get the creative juices flowing: have your students share to model multiple methods of problem solving, compare and contrast student work to spark constructive dialog, or simply have students present work from the comfort of their own desks and avoid the disruption of requiring them to plug in to the classroom display.

Nope. If you already have access to Vivi in your classroom, you already have access to all the capabilities in Vivi for Teachers and more. Vivi for Teachers is intended to provide access to wireless student sharing to teachers who do not have Vivi in their classrooms.

Let's face it. Getting students to participate can be difficult. Students might be nervous about sharing their work, anxious about presenting in front of their peers, or just having a bad day. And the logistics of getting kids connected to the classroom display can disrupt the flow of class and take time away from instruction.
